palacsinta recept!

Ingredients:

  • 250g (about 2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 500ml (about 2 cups) milk
  • 2 eggs
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (optional, depending on if you want sweet or savory pancakes)
  • Oil or butter, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Mix the Batter:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
    • In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs.
    • Add the milk and sugar (if using) to the eggs, and mix well.
    • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
    • The batter should be smooth and thin. If it’s too thick, add a little more milk.
  2. Cook the Pancakes:
    • Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
    • Add a small amount of oil or butter to the pan.
    • Pour a ladleful of batter into the hot pan, and tilt the pan to spread the batter evenly.
    • Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
    • Flip the pancake when bubbles start to form on the surface.
  3. Fill and Serve:
    • Fill the cooked pancakes with your favorite fillings, such as:
      • Jam
      • Nutella
      • Sweet cottage cheese
      • Fruit
      • Or savory fillings like ham and cheese.
    • Roll or fold the pancakes, and serve warm.

Tips for Perfect Palacsinta:

  • Batter Consistency: The batter should be thin, but not too thin. It should easily coat the back of a spoon.
  • Hot Pan: Make sure the pan is hot before adding the batter. This will prevent the pancakes from sticking.
  • Thin Pancakes: For thin pancakes, use a small amount of batter and spread it quickly.
  • Non-Stick Pan: A non-stick pan is essential for easy cooking.
  • Resting the Batter: Letting the batter rest for 15-30 minutes before cooking can help improve the texture of the pancakes.
